About the role
As a Backend Engineer at Elmeas, you will collaborate with other engineers to develop a robust backend for our clinical system. Your role will involve:
Designing and implementing scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Working with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration to streamline development and deployment processes.
Adhering to best practices in coding, including writing clean, documented, and maintainable code.
Developing solutions that facilitate seamless integration between different products within our ecosystem.
Conducting rigorous testing to ensure responsiveness, efficiency, and scalability of software solutions.
Integrating and optimising Elasticsearch for advanced search capabilities and efficient data retrieval.
What you need to bring
7+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Java, Spring Boot and jOOQ.
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
Strong problem-solving skills with a preference for simple and elegant solutions.
A quick learner with a delivery-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
Nice to haves, but not required:
In-depth Keycloak knowledge
Experience with Elasticsearch for implementing search functionalities and optimising data access.
Background in developing B2B SaaS products.
Familiarity with healthcare software practices such as FHIR, OpenEHR, etc.
Previous experience in a large tech company or high-growth startup.
Personal projects or products that demonstrate your technical expertise and innovation.
